Fire personnel has reached a 90% containment status. Full containment of this wildfire is expected to occur on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
They will continue monitoring, mop-up operations, and holding fires in the area. They did find an area of hale bales and a tree stump which continue to smolder. Additional focus will be on these areas as high winds and low RH continue to stabilize, creating the perfect timing for hot spots and new starts.
According to the NIFC Sit Rep, there is still 85 total personnel assigned to this incident down 61 from Monday. At this time, there are 13 engines still listed as resources committed.
Current total costs-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts have reached $5.1 Million Dollars.
