The Training Area 23 Fire is located in the demolition range area of Camp Bullis, Texas, which ignited on Saturday, April 9th, around 1430 hours CDT.

Fire managers are in Unified Command which includes Texas A&M Forest Service, and Joint Base San Antonio’s Fire Department. This structure consists of a Task Force from Fredericksburg (two dozers and two engines), a Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) Strike Team (five engines), three single-engine air tankers (SEATS), one air attack platform (AA), one lead plane, one Type-1 copter and two large air tankers (LATs).

There have been approximately 4,000 acres of heavy oak and mesquite destroyed.
