Firefighters have a good knockdown on the EDGEWOOD FIRE located in San Mateo County, California has enabled the IC to have multiple air resources (copters/tankers) released and is looking to release some of the County Fire mutual aid agencies on it as well.

Both fire behavior and smoke appear to be calming down less but earlier in the evening, alarms were ever-increasing as more resources began to fill the roster in staging and on the line as the fire crept towards homes. This incident reached seven alarms!

Evacuation shelter –> (changed) to 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California.

Animal evacuation line –> If you have large animals that need to be evacuated, contact the emergency line at 650-450-0516.

Resources for this incident include CAL FIRE CZU, San Mateo FD, County of San Mateo, Red Cross Nor Cal, and the San Mateo Sheriff’s Office.
