BELLINGHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT (WA)

On May 14th, Assistant Chief Dave Pethick and Division Chief Dan McDermott graduated from the Executive Leadership Academy (ELA), which is a joint effort between the Seattle Fire Department and the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

MERCER ISLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT (WA)

Mercer Island’s Fire Marshal Jeromy Hicks graduated from the ELA program. Graduates are required to present a final project in front of a panel consisting of the region’s Fire Chiefs and doctoral degree holders from the UW.

Five newest grads with the King County Medic One program, was announced on July 13, 2022.

FALL CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT (WA)

Probationary Firefighter Greg Lussier graduated in April 2022, from the Washington STate Fire Academy, a 12-week firefighter training program.

CITY OF FAIRBANKS FIRE DEPARTMENT (AK)

The City of Fairbanks Fire Department had six members, Driver Bratten, FF Cavallero, Recruit FFs Cuellar, Hoppough, Ison, and Reckker, who graduated from the UAF Community and Technical College Paramedic Academy.

TULALIP BAY FIRE DEPARTMENT (WA)

Paramedic Collin Chavez recently graduated from the King County Medic One, a world-renown Michael K. Copass Paramedic Training Program. The program consists of 2,100 hours of rigorous training based out of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He will return back to his assigned agency.

WEST END FIRE & RESCUE COMPANY (PA)

WEF&R Tim Coy graduated from the District of Columbia Fire & EMS Fire Academy. He is being assigned to 25 Engine Platoon #1.

MAYFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT (NY)

Chandler (Chan) Manchester recently completed his BECO/IFO and FF Rescue. He originally started in the Junior FF program and became an interior firefighter.

GALESBURG FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION (IL)

Probationary Firefighter Stevenson graduated from Illinois Fire Services Institutes Basic Firefighter Academy in June. She is now working on completing her HAZMAT, Vehicular Machinery Operations, and other requirements to gain her Basic Firefighter certification.

NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY & EMERGENCY SERVICES (NY)

36 firefighters graduated on July 15, 2022, after participating in a 15-week Recruit Firefighter Training Program instructed by the State Office of Fire Prevention and Control. These firefighters will represent 13 fire departments across New York.
