The month of August 2022, saw a lot of wildfires in Washington and Oregon. This wildfire has been burning since August 30, 2022, due to lightning that struck the area, about 10 miles southeast of Imnaha, Oregon.

The fire has burned about 171,532 acres of timber but has been successfully listed at an 89% containment status.

Today, fire behavior is minimal, which is a very good sign for this incident.

There is 24 total personnel along with one engine and two helicopters. A BAER team is on the scene and assessing soils, damages, and other fire-related impacts to the area.
