Monday Fire Update, 10/24/2022

2100 hours PT: The MOSQUITO FIRE is located about four miles east of Foresthill, California.

It was detected on Tuesday, 9/6/2022, around 1830 hours PT from an unknown cause.

As of today, the fire is now being reported as 100% contained. There have been 76,788 acres consumed of timber, chaparral, and timber litter/understory.

Fire behavior has been observed as minimal with smoldering and creeping activities and any residual heat remains inside the containment lines (on the interior portion).

There is still 545 total personnel with a drop of 386 firefighters. Seven crews, 19 engines, and four copters are still assigned.

There have been 78 structures lost.

The CTD has now reached a whopping $181.1 Million.
