Incident Summary: The WAWA003 incident is considered to be an out-of-control fire burning along the TransCanada Highway 17 by the Depew River, which was confirmed on the afternoon of May 27, 2023.

Cause: The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

Command: The management of the team is currently under the leadership of the Brown IMT, an Ontario Type 1 IMT. They are working on establishing a location for the ICT.

Resources: 12 Fire Ranger crews along with eight copters.

Fire Ops: Structure protection is in effect, as well as air support dropping on the west side of the fire to stop the forward progression of the fire. Crews are working on working on direct fire suppression.

Restrictions: There is a current restriction that has been issued by Government Officials.
