SIT REP 1: TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023, 2205 PDT

Two wildfires are burning in Okanogan County, Washington which include:

ROCK CREEK FIRE – SPRING COULEE ROAD FIRE

State Fire resources and equipment were dispatched at 1808 hours PT through the Northeast WA Communications / Dispatch Center, which includes units: HI 25, SO 7204, SO 30, SO 7251, SO 27, SO 7201, SO 28, and HI 60. They arrived on the scene quickly at 1847 hours PT in the Rock Creek area.

About 10 acres were said to have been consumed by the fire. Door-to-door evacuation orders were made by fire and police officials. Fire aviation resources, along with fire personnel also remain on the scene overnight.

Prior to this call, WA DNR units: were dispatched to the Dry Coulee Fire.

DRY COULEE FIRE

Units deployed were the C 7140, HI 7108, SO 7210, SO 7207, SO 26, W Zone 10, SO 7250, SO 60, HI 28, and HI 7106 at 1733 hours to the Dry Coulee area, where the fire was reported as moving east towards this area.

About 100-150 residential structures were said to be under threat. A Level 1 evacuation order was in effect for those on SR 20 off of Loup Loup Canyon Road.

About 285 acres have been destroyed.
