LOCATION

The DEVILS BUTTE FIRE is located off Hwy 206 and about 16 miles northwest of Condon (Gilliam County) in the State of Oregon.

INCIDENT SUMMARY

The fire started on County land and is burning on BLM lands in the Prineville District, which was sparked by lightning.

Due to this fast-moving wildfire, the Gilliam County Fire Department lost two of its fire trucks. No firefighters or others were injured.

We will post if there is a GoFundMe account or any other way the community can give back to the Co. FD for the replacement of their apparatus if insurance does not cover it in full. It will be posted on our Social Media channels or here on our Official Blog. Ed.
