A wildfire named the COYOTE FIRE broke out on August 17, 2023, at 1211 hours PDT on Coyote Holler Road and Round Potrero Road in San Diego County, California (USA).

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

There are 485 total personnel assigned with two helicopters, 63 engines, two dozers, six water tenders, eight crews, and 15 other types of resources assigned.

Two unknown types of structures have been lost.

The fire currently has a containment status of 85%.
