INCIDENT SUMMARY

A wildfire is burning on the 2nd Flatiron, which started on Saturday from an unknown ignition.

LOCATION

The 2nd Flatiron is an area that is between the more popular First and Third Flatirons, according to Wikipedia but it is more than that.

The Second Flatiron is home to several flatiron scambles of considerable length. These are popular rock formations on Green Mountain in Boulder, Colorado. It is one of several climbing areas, located at an elevation of 6,813 feet.

CURRENT STATUS

The fire has burned about one-half of an acre.

No structures are currently being threatened and therefore, there are no current evacuations in effect.

It is currently unknown if there are any injuries to firefighters, law enforcement and/or civilians.

The containment status is unknown at the time of this post.

RESOURCES

There are currently 17 Boulder Fire-Rescue members on the scene with 10 additional from Boulder County en route to the fire ground. Additional resources include the Boulder County Park Rangers and Boulder Police Department.
