A wildfire discovered this morning according to the WA State DNR Wildfire agency, says it is burning in the Wenatchee Hills.

It is approximately located in the 1800 block of Horse Lake Road in Wenatchee (Chelan), Washington which started within the last 24 hours.

The wildfire around 1215 hours was listed by the Fire Chief with Wenatchee Valley Fire Department, that the fire had burned through 250 acres and was listed at a 30% containment status.

According to Fire Officials, fire crews were conducting structure protection and successfully protecting about 200 structures. No structures have been reported as damaged or lost.

Aviation assets include two helicopters and two Fireboss scoop planes, as well as crews and other ground resources.

North Mason Regional Fire Authority They have deployed two firefighters and they are staffing Brush Truck 21 tying in with other State Mobe resources from Mason County. They will remain on the fireline for 14 days before returning back to their respective quarters.

Reports of a young male who witnesses say was lighting off fireworks was said to be taken into custody by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.

North Kitsap Fire & Rescue – A water tender (T-81) was deployed from Kingston with one person staffing the rig, says the Fire Agency which will tie in with a Brush Engine Strike Team from Mason County.

Today, they dispatched 18-2 with three personnel which will join another group of fire personnel as part of the Mason County Task Force.

Everett Fire Department – Three personnel were deployed on Brush 1 (BR 1), which is part of the State Mobe team.

WA Central Washington Comm Center – Dispatching WA DNR resources were dispatched on July 5th at 0731 hours PT.
