The LAKE FIRE ignited on July 5, 2024, around 1610 hours PT. It is burning in the area of Zaca Lake and about nine miles northeast of Los Olivos, on the Los Padres National Forest. in Santa Barbara County, California.

As of this update, the fire has burned through 4,674 acres of grass, brush and timber and with a 0% containment status.

The Lead Fire Agency is the Los Padres National Forest (USFS). A Complex Incident Management Team or CIMT was ordered several hours ago.

CLOSED: Happy Canyon Road at forest boundary; Foxen Canyon Road at Zaca Station Road and Alisos Canyon Road; and Figueroa Mountain Road at Midland School.

EVACUATION WARNINGS: Figueroa Mountain Road from the Forest Station to Chamberlin Ranch; and North of Zaca Lake Road; east of Foxen Canyon Road, and south of the Sisquoc River.
