The Telephone Fire is located east of Falls Fire and 16 miles north of Burns, about 6.7 miles from Hwy 395 and 11 miles from Bucahanon, Oregon.

The wildfire started on Monday, July 22, 2024, from lightning.

Fire behavior continues to be observed as extreme with short crow runs, running, and spotting. It has burned about 350 acres and has a 0% containment status.
