The BOWMAN WELL FIRE is located in Christmas Valley, Oregon which was sparked by lightning on September 6, 2024, has burned about 2,853 acres of grass, and is now at 97% containment status.
There are 166 total personnel along with five crews and 21 engines.
The Lead Agency is the USDI Bureau of Land Management along with others listed as Incident Cooperators which include the South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership – SCOFMP, Christmas Valley Rural Fire Protection District, Silver Lake Fire & Rescue RRPD, Lake County, Oregon government, Aumsville Fire, Estacada Fire District, OR State Fire Marshal, and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
