Copperfield Fire

The COPPERFIELD FIRE is located about six miles southeast of Chiloquin, Oregon, and was ignited by an undetermined cause on September 8, 2024.
The fire which has been burning for one week has now seen a 98% containment status. Fire Officials have slated this fire to be fully contained by September 20.
There have been 3,822 acres of timber burned which has also destroyed eight homes and 22 minor structures in the community.
The Lead Agency is the OR Department of Forestry.
There are still three people assigned to this incident. The last and final crew meeting was held on September 11, 2024.
