Sandstone Fire


The SANDSTONE FIRE was sparked by lightning on August 5, 2024, about nine miles southwest of Ripplebrook (Clackamas County), Oregon on Mt. Hood National Forest.

The lightning-caused wildfire has burned about 702 acres of timber, logging slash, and chaparral and it now has a 75% containment status.

It is slated for an October 31st containment status.

There is 42 total personnel along with one crew and three engines under the management of the USDA Forest Service.
