PAULINE ROAD FIRE UPDATE | SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2025


The Pauline Road Fire is burning in San Jacinto (San Jacinto County), Texas, where the State Fire Service and Texas A&M Forest Service received a request for assistance from the County to send additional personnel and resources. This occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 1630 hours.

Evacuation Shelter is located at 255 Live Oak, Cold Springs, Texas

The Incident Commander is Stephen Tanner who manages the fire incident and is currently staffing 36 total personnel, plus 11 engines.

The fire has burned about 2,421 acres of timber (litter and understory) and southern rough. The current status is that it has an 85% containment status and it has been slated to be fully contained by March 26, 2025, according to State Fire Officials.

Fire behavior has been observed as minimal activity and smoldering.

Crews will continue patrolling and mopping up. They will be checking for any hot spots on the main road.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

No injuries have been reported.
