The DUNES FIRE is located on BLLM lands under the management of the Boise District resources and personnel, about 20 miles west of Weiser, Idaho.

The fire has burned about 750 acres of brush and short grass, which now has a 20% containment status.

Fire behavior has been observed as active with running and flanking.

Threatened: Structures

Evacuations: Unknown

Resources include: 76 total personnel, two crews, four engines, and two helicopters.

The cost to date for fire suppression and containment efforts has reached $250,000.
