Sit Rep | Thursday, June 12, 2025, 1815 hours PT


According to local Fire Department resources, a wildfire broke out just before 0015 PT on Thursday morning to their local Fire Dispatch as a grass fire. Units responded and were met by a fast-moving grass fire located on Hatch Grade by the wind miles, prompting a 4th Alarm fire response.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

Local mutual aid resources were dispatched, along with WA DNR, and later approved for State Mobe resources at 0800 this morning through the WA Fire Marshals Office (WSP).

Local Fire Agency (Incident Commander) is with Walla Walla County Fire District #4.

The Emergency Coordination Center was also activated this morning, but later at 0900 hours.


About 1,900 acres have been burned, prompting evacuations to be issued.
