SIT REP 3 — JUNE 17, 2025 — TUESDAY


The ROWENA FIRE continues to burn and is now showing minimal fire behavior with smoldering activities about three miles northwest of The Dalles (Wasco County) in Oregon (USA)

The wildfire started on June 11, 2025, and has been deemed by Fire Officials as human-caused.

The fire has burned about 3,570 acres and has a 37% containment status.

Unfortunately, a total of 165 structures, including homes, barns, sheds, and shops, have been lost.

Level 3 evacuation orders were lifted today at noon by the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office. Levels 1 and 2 still remain in effect.

Incident Cooperators include: Marrisburn Fire & Rescue, OSFM, USFS, Lebanon Fire District, Wasco County Government (EMA, Sheriff’s Office), Clackamas Fire, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

There is a total of 668 personnel, along with 20 hand crews, 39 engines, 10 water tenders, three dozers, and seven helicopters.

The total cost to date for firefighting suppression and containment efforts has reached $ 6.8 million.
