SIT REP 1, SUNDAY, AUGUST 3, 2025


The CEDAR FIRE was sparked by lightning on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 1734 hours MST, approximately four miles northeast of Clyde, Idaho (USA).

The fire has burned about 536 acres of brush, timber, grass, and litter. It has a 0% containment status.

Fire behavior has been observed as moderate with group torching, running, and short-range spotting.

The IC is Renz and their Trainee Toy with 142 total personnel, one Type 1 & 2 crews, engines, dozers, water tender(s), fixed (wing) helicopters, and an overhead team.

Fire Officials state Firefighters will continue with work to hold the fire on the southern and western portions of the fire, and continue to secure and mop up the edge. Preparation in Cedar Run Canyon for a burnout operation on the north-facing slope over the next couple of days. Firefighters continue scouting for contingency lines to the north.

A TFR is in effect, meaning no drones in fire zones.
