WASHINGTON STATE — Firefighters with the Eastside Fire & Rescue, WA DNR, Renton Fire, Bothell, Bainbridge Island, and Poulsbo responded on Friday, August 29, 2025, to a brush fire at Tradition Lake.

Tradition Lake is an extremely popular Tiger Mountain trail system, about 1.5 miles east of Issaquah (King County), Washington. This is a place for those who like to hike, fish, and hang out at the 17.40-acre lake, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Currently, fire crews and resources are still on the scene as they are in mop-up operations.
It appears that the total land burned was approximately 1.25 acres, according to wildcad.net.

According to local Fire Officials, there were no threats to the Issaquah city limits, but the trailheads were closed in the area.

Carnation
The City of Carnation has a current population of 2,186 residents and is a slow-growing community with only 0.23% annually since 2024. It is a fairly small City, which is the size of 1.18 square miles; however, many residents with larger household incomes live here. It only makes sense to be part of the EF&R family, as it is close to Sammamish. Its other neighbor is Redmond, Washington. Far away neighbors (100 miles or more) include Seattle and Bainbridge Island, Washington.

Duvall Fire, also known as Fire District 45, serves about 14,000 residents in a 50-square-mile radius. It approved a 10-year contract for fire service on January 1, 2025. This area is about 19 miles away from Monroe and Everett in Snohomish County and 20 miles away from Redmond (King County), Washington.

Mercer Island
Mercer Island is home to approximately 25,302 residents as of 2024 and is a popular area to retire and remain low-key in a small area of 12.90 square miles. It can be accessed off of Interstate 90 and is located between Seattle and Bellevue, Washington.

Its agency’s fire response area is about 30 square miles with about 13,261 residents (2022 census) and several unknown businesses in the City and surrounding unincorporated areas. This area can be accessed from 405 to 522 and area backroads.. It is near Bothell and not far from Monroe, Washington State.
