SIT REP 1: April 7, 2026, 2045 PT

A wildfire incident was reported to the NIFC (National Incident Fire Center) based out of Boise, Idaho, within the last twenty-four hours. The fire is burning about five miles north of Blythe (Richmond County), Georgia, in timber.

The early morning release stated the fire’s behavior was listed as active with flanking and creeping. It had already burned 128 acres and was listed at an 80% containment status.

About 21 total personnel were assigned, including five (5) engines.

The cost-to-date for this incident for fire suppression and containment efforts was listed at $8,000.00.

These lands are managed and owned by the Georgia Forestry Commission.
