One (1) with the possibility of two (2) full-time paramedic positions open. Employees who have not previously gone through the Washington State Fire Firefighter 1 and 2 Recruit Academy will be enrolled in the 3-2014 class to begin August 07, 2014.
All testing through National Testing Network (NTN) must be completed by May 29, 2014.
The department requires the candidate PHQ. This questionnaire can be accessed through the candidate’s NTN account. The PHQ must be completed or you may not be considered further in the process.
Union Status: IAFF, local 3235 Base Salary Range per contract.
Benefit Information: Generous medical and deferred compensation available per IAFF Local 3235 current Labor Agreement. LEOFF II Retirement.

Department Information: Lake Stevens Fire is a combination department with 38 career firefighters and approximately 25 Part Paid Firefighters.
The department provides ALS and BLS service, including transports, fire prevention and public education programs. Lake Stevens Fire serves a population of approximately 40,346 and 41.8 sq. mi.

** High School Grad/GED: Yes
** Valid WASHINGTON State Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License
** Ability to Read/Speak English: Ability to read, write and speak English
** Medical Examination: Complete and pass an entry level medical examination.
** Current Washington State Paramedic Certification with 3 years of experience and up-to-date and all recertification requirements as of May 29th, 2014.
** Current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) Passing Score
** Passing score on FireTeam Test at National Testing Network
Disqualifiers: 1 or more traffic crime convictions in last 3 years: DUI, Suspended License or reckless driving.
Background Check: All eligible candidates are subject to Criminal background check.
The top candidates on the Lake Stevens Fire NTN eligibility list will be contacted by Lake Stevens Fire and required to complete the following as scheduled by the department.
