CA Faces Unrelentless Fire Storms – June 3, 2016

Multiple wildfires broke out today in multiple areas of the State of California which we will cover in one post here.

#ClayFire (Sacramento County):  This fire broke out today around 1657 Hours PDT, off of HIghway 104 and Clay East Rd, near Herald.  The cause is unknown, as well as fire fuel types.  At 1955 Hours PDT, the fire was deemed to be 100% contained with 32 acres scorched.  The fire was being managed by CAL Fire’s Amado – El Dorado unit.  There have been no injuries or damaged/destroyed structures reported.

#HiddenFire (San Benito County): A wildfire was reported today as being ignited by an unknown source around 1739 Hours PDT today off of Hidden Valley Road and Cienega Road, SW of Hollister, California.  The fire is now at a 100% containment status with 30 acres burned.  The fire was being managed by the San Benito Monterey Unit.  No injuries or damaged/destroyed buildings reported.

#AukumFire (El Dorado County):  Firefighters were on-scene of a wildfire off of Mount Aukum Road and Grizzly Plat in El Dorado County, California.  Initial reports around 1545 Hours PDT, reported it at 45 acres but as of 2030 it is now listed at 25 acres.  It is currently at a 70% containment status.  Earlier voluntary evacuations were in progress for the East side of Sandridge and Bucks Bar Road to Mount Aukum Road.  Roads are closed on Mount Aukum from 4 Corners to Tiger’s Eve.  Firefighters are making good progress on the fire.  Fire behavior is reported at a moderate rate of spread.  The fire started on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 1241 Hours PDT.  There is no cause at this time.  No injuries or structures damaged/destroyed have been reported.
