The Blair Wildfire started from lightning and was reported on June 29, 2016, in the White River Field Office located SE of Blair Mountain and about 20 miles West of Meeker, Colorado.
There are more than 100 fire crews along with support and Command staff assigned to this incident, along with 4 engines, 2 heavy air tankers, 2 SEATs, 1 AA coordination plane and 1 heavy helicopter.
The fire was allowed to move East, helping open up dense coverage of pinyon and juniper rejuvenating the ecosystem.
Firefighters are now taking a more aggressive strategy to secure the South and West flanks.
There is a TFR over the fire and Fire Managers remind those not to use unmanned Drones over the fire.
