INCIDENT SUMMARY
The Juntura Complex Fires consist of several fires located about 30 miles SW of Vale, Oregon.
COMMAND
The incident was being managed by NW Fire IMT #13, BLM Vale Dist, Juntura Fire Protection District, but Command has changed for the following fires:

Command for both the Simmons Gulch Fire and the Sheep Rock Fire were shifted over to 2 Type 4 ICs.
Simmons Gulch Fire
Located just South of Highway 20, is approximately 30 miles West of Vale and 20 miles East of the town of Juntura, Oregon. It is 11,362 acres and approximately 85% contained on August 12.
Sheep Rock Fire
Located 6 miles South of the town of Juntura and is 12,783 acres. It was 85% contained on August 12.
Rooster Comb Fire
Located 20 miles South and East of Juntura near the Easterday Reservoir. It is 156 acres and was 95% contained on August 9. It is in Patrol status.
FIRE FUELS
Fuel fuels are tall grass and brush.
