OR Wildfire: Withers | Aug 18 2016

The Withers Fire is burning approximately 1 mile North off of OR State Hwy 31, which is one of 4 fires that started on 8/17/2016.  It is a human-caused fire but the exact cause is unknown and is under investigation.
The fire is said to be near the Paisley community which has prompted several Evacuation alerts to nearby communities.
Command is currently under the management of a local Type 3 IMT team that worked during the day and an arriving Type 2 IMT this evening.
There are 111 personnel assigned to this incident.
The fire perimeter is expected to increase to the south and east with continued hot and dry temperatures.
The fire has consumed 800 acres that is burning in flashy fuels in Juniper fuel treatment area.  It is at a 0% containment status.

Level 3 Evacuation for campgrounds along the Chewaucan River and any residences along the River Road – anyone in this area needs to leave immediately.
The Level 2 Evacuation for seven residences along Mill Street has been lifted.
The town of Paisley remains under a Level 1 Evacuation – residents should be monitoring conditions and begin making preparations in case an evacuation becomes necessary.
Forest Road No. 33, also known as the River Road, from the junction with Forest Road No. 3315 to Jones Crossing.
Forest Road No. 4415 from the junction with Forest Road No. 33 to the intersection with Forest Road No. 3360 are closed.
