INCIDENT SUMMARY
Start Date/Time: The fire started 9/25/2016 @ 1050 hours
Location: Off Big Geysers Road and Geysers Resort Road, 10 miles E of Cloverdale in Sonoma County, California.
Fuels: Heavy fire fuels with areas of grass and pockets of oak woodland. They are dried out due to the last 5 years, due to drought conditions.
Size Up: 1500 acres. 20% contained.
Cause: Under investigation.
Current Conditions: Overnight forward progress slowed by firefighters whom are also working inside the perimeter.
Weather: Temps are in the 100’s with low RH.
RESOURCES
Fire: 463 personnel. 36 engines. 13 crews. 4 helicopters. 10 dozers. 2 water tenders.
Cooperating Partners: CAL PINE, Napa County Fire, Cloverdale FPD, Geyserville FPD, Healdsburg FD, Windsor FPD, Sonoma and Lake County Sheriff’s Office, CA Highway Patrol, CA Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
