Incident Summary
The Jacobson Fire was discovered on October 20th around 5:00 PM PDT from an unknown cause. It is located in the Jacobson Drainage in the Golden Trout Wilderness and on the Sequoia National Forest near Camp Nelson, California.

It has currently consumed 1595 acres of heavy slash, chaparral, and timber and has a 0% containment status.
Resources
The Central Coast Inter-Agency Management Team has been managing this fire since October 23, 2016.

There are currently 255 fire personnel assigned to this incident
Current Status
The wildfire is burning near the Soda Fire and Cabin Fire burn scars. Crews will continue to improve contingency lines.
