A wildfire broke out around 4:00 PM MST on Thursday, December 15, 2016. It is located North of Bobcat Ridge Natural area and NW of Loveland, Colorado.
The cause is unknown at this time.
Fire crews from Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA), including our Canyon Battalion, as well as fire crews and first responders from Larimer County Emergency Services, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Berthoud Fire Protection District, Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department, and Poudre Fire Authority.
There is no number of fire personnel known at this time.
Access to the fire has been hindered by the remoteness of the location and a possible power line that is down in the area.
Strong, erratic winds have hampered the fire attack efforts are reasons why firefighters have been pulled out of the area.
Containment status is unknown at the time of this posting.
There are currently no structures threatened at this time.
