EAST SADDLE MTN FIRE ** New! **
Mid-Columbia National Wildlife Refuge – 10 miles W of Othello, Washington
This wildfire started on the afternoon of August 12th from presumably lightning but is currently is an unconfirmed fire.
The fire was burning from the top of the mountain running downhill in various spots.
Currently, the fire has scorched about 17,000 acres of brush and grass. Fire behavior is moderate with a 41% containment status. There are 160 personnel (with State Mobe resources on-scene) with 1 crew, 39 engines, 2 helicopters. 2 structures have been destroyed. CTD is $186,000..
JOLLY MTN FIRE
Okanogan-Wenatchee NF – 13 miles NW of Cle Elum, Washington
The Jolly Mountain Fire is made up of five wildfires burning in a remote part of the forest about 5 miles NE at the North end of Lake Cle Elum. About 334 acres of timber has been burned. Fire behavior is minimal. There is a 0% containment status on these wildfires. Firefighters having a difficulty accessing these fires and currently there is no resources on them. NOISY CREEK FIRE
Colville National Forest – 6 miles SE of Metaline Falls, Washington
The Noisy Creek Fire behavior has been reduced from active to moderate with backing, creeping and smoldering. It is burning on the East side of Sullivan Lake. It was reported on July 15, 2017. The cause of this wildfire is lightning. So far, 4,000 acres have been damaged and there is 58% containment status at this time. 254 personnel are assigned with 5 crews, 7 engines and 3 helos. The Diamond Creek Fire behavior is active with torching, short-crown runs and short-range spotting. The fire has destroyed 938 acres that is located in the Pasayten Wilderness and about 5.5 miles South of the Canadian border..
BRIDGE CREEK FIRE
Colville Agency – BIA – 11 miles NE of Keller
