BRIDGE CREEK FIRE – 12 miles NE of Keller

USDI BIA – Colville Agency. Started 8/9/2017. Type 2 IMT, NW Team 6. Lightning caused. Timber, tall grass and light logging slash.

8/24/2017:  2,640 acres.  33% contained. Active fire behavior with flanking, backing and torching. 515 personnel. 12 crews, 23 engines, 4 helos. $7.8 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  Transfer from Type 2 IMT to new IMT 2 on 8/26/2017.  Active fire behavior with flanking, torching and uphill runs. 2,640 acres. 29% contained.  478  personnel. 10 crews, 3 helos and 23 engines. $7 Million CTD.

CHETCO FIRE –  16 miles West of Selma, OR

Kalmiopsis Wilderness on the Rogue River – Siskiyou NF.  USFS. Lightning caused. Start 7/12/2017. Timber, brush. #ChetcoFire

8/24/2017:  Type 1 IMT (PNW 3) assume command (Unified Command) with CFPA and OR State Fire Marshal on Saturday morning.  99,944 acres. 0% contained. Moderate fire behavior with backing, flanking and creeping. 1,174 personnel. 21 crews, 118 engines, 8 helos. 25 structures lost. 809 non-residential commercial/50 minor structures threatened. 1 home and 8 minor structures damaged. $7.8 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  Minimal fire behavior with backing, flanking and creeping. 97,758 acres. 0% contained. 3368 homes, 50 minor structures, threatened/ 1 home, 8 minor structures damaged/ 5 homes, 19 minor structures destroyed. 1,078  personnel. 21 crews, 6 helos and 106 engines. 24 structures lost. $5 Million CTD.

8/22/2017: Moderate fire behavior with backing, flanking and creeping. Fire has made significant movement during the last 48 hours. Level 3 evacuation orders in effect for 3,000 homes beginning at the intersection of Carpenterville Road and Hwy 101, North to the Pistol River and from the Pacific Ocean East. 8/24/2017:  750 acres. 40% contained.  Moderate fire behavior with wind-driven runs. 33 personnel. 4 engines, 2 helos. $250,000 CTD.

DIAMOND CREEK FIRE – 27 miles NNW of Winthrop

Start 7/23/2016.  Cause unknown and under investigation.  Timber, brush. Unknown cause and is under investigation. #DiamondCreekFire

8/24/2017:  30,922 acres. 55% contained. 9 crews, 8 engines, 2 crews. 3 structures lost. 3 homes, 3 minor structures threatened.  $6.9 Million CTD.

8/23: Active fire behavior with torching, running and flanking. 31,555 acres. 55% contained. 3 homes, 2 minor structures threatened. 1 home and 2 minor structures lost. 1 minor structure damaged. 317 personnel. 9 crews, 2 helicopters and 8 engines. 3 structures lost. $6.9 Million CTD.

FALCON COMPLEX – 25 miles East of Tiller, OR

Type 2 IMT, NW Team 8.  Started 8/8/2017. Lightning caused. USDA Forest Service. 15 fires. Largest Double Buck Fire, Paradise Fire, Upper Ash Fire. #FalconComplex

8/24/2017: 15 fires.  Upper Ash Flat/1,979 acres, Double Buck Fire/570 acres, Paradise Fire/403 acres and Pup Fire/136 acres.  3,350 acres. 25% contained. Active fire behavior with flanking, spotting and single-tree torching.  494 personnel. 10 crews, 26 engines, 6 helos 5 homes, 15 minor structures threatened. $7.8 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  Active fire behavior with flanking, backing and short-range spotting. 3,300 acres. 20% contained. 5 homes, 15 minor structures threatened. 499 personnel. 10 crews, 6 helos and 25 engines. Upper Ash Flat/1971 acres, Double Buck/532 acres and Paradise/382 acres. $7.2 Million CTD.

FLOUNCE – 12 miles NW of Shady Cove, OR

HIGH CASCADES COMPLEX – 9 miles NE of Prospect, OR

Started 8/12/2017. Type 1 IMT team. #HighCascadesComplex

8/24/2017:   Made up of Spruce Lake Fire/5,360 acres, Blanket Creek Fire/6,690 acres.  Also managing Broken Lookout Fire/818 acres, Sherwood Fire/71 acres and smaller fires.  12,981 acres. 60% containment.  Moderate fire behavior with backing, flanking and isolated torching.  473 personnel. 11 crews, 1 engine, 4 helos. . $26.5 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  IMT 1 to IMT2 will happen on 8/24/2017.  Moderate fire behavior with creeping smoldering and single-tree torching. 12,181 acres. 68% contained. Cause still under investigation. 486 personnel. 11 crews, 5 helicopters and 1 engine. Spruce Lake/5360 acres, Blanket Creek Fire/5889 acres. Being managed by this Complex along with Silent/2 acres, Butte/5 acres, Broken Lookout/818 acres, Roundtop/10 acres, Needle/8 acres, Sherwood/71 acres.  Smaller fires. $27 Million CTD.

HORSE CREEK COMPLEX –  7 miles South of Belnap Springs, OR

Start 8/21/2017. Timber.Cause unknown/under investigation. Timber litter, timber, light logging slash. USDA Forest Service #HorseCreekComplex

This includes Separation, Avenue, Roney, Olallie Lookout Fires. Along with Whitewater and Rebel fires. $1,000 CTD.

INDIAN CREEK FIRE – Eagle Creek Trail System, OR

Started 7/4/2017. Under investigation. USDA Forest Service. #IndianCreekFire

8/24/2017: 393 acres. 10% contained. 39 personnel. 1 crew. 2 helicopters. Estimated containment date is 9/30/2017.

8/23/2017:  113 acres. 10% contained. 40 personnel. 1 crew, 2 helos.  Warming and drying trend this week.

8/22/2017:  83 acres. 10% contained. Timber (Litter and understory). 42 personnel. 1 crew and 2 helicopters. Estimated containment is 9/30/2017.

JOLLY MOUNTAIN FIRE – 13 miles NW of Cle Elum, WA

Fire is located about 2 miles inside the Tenaway IRA. 8/11/2017 start date. Lightning caused.  Timber. #JollyMountainFire

8/24/2017:  1,208 acres. 0% contained.  Extreme fire behavior with backing, flanking and uphill runs. Very active on Wednesday. 323 personnel. 6 crews, 10 engines, 1 helo. 1,385 homes, 13 mixed commercial/homes, 1403 minor structures threatened.  $3.1 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  Active fire behavior with backing and short-range spotting. 1,208 acres. 0% containment.  1385 homes, 13 mixed commercial/homes + 1403 minor structures are threatened. 320  personnel. 6 crews, 1 helo and 10 engines.  $2.9 Million CTD.

8/22/2017:  Active fire behavior with backing and torching. 1,385 homes, 13 mixed commercial/residential and 1,403 minor structures are under threat.  Campgrounds, commercial buildings and a high visitation rec area with major trail head and critical habitat are threatened.  638 acres. 0% contained. 301 personnel. 5 crews, 10 engines, 2 helos. $2.7 Million CTD.

8/20/2017: 585 acres, 0% contained. 1385 homes/13 mixed homes/commercial and 1403 minor structures threatened. 281 personnel.  4 crews, 5 helos and 10 engines.

JONES FIRE – 10 miles NE of Lowell, OR

Active fire behavior with running, torching, flanking. 5,462 acres. 18% contained. 582 personnel. 17 crews, 2 helos and 24 engines.  4 homes plus 1 minor structure threatened. 1 minor structure destroyed. 1 structure lost. $5.1 Million CTD.

Started 8/14/2017. Lightning caused. Rogue River – Siskiyou NF. IMT Type 2, CA Team 2. Made up of 20 individual fires.  USDA.  #MillerComplex

8/24/2017:  20 fires.  Burnt Peak Fire/3,050 acres. Seattle Fire/1,942 acres, Abney Fire/2,508 acres, Cook Fire/998 acres and Creedence Fire/2,700 acres. 11,348 acres. 33% contained. Moderate fire behavior with uphill runs, backing and creeping. 575 personnel. 14 crews, 22 engines. 14 homes, 5 minor structures threatened.  $4.7 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  5 fires. Imt 1 & imt 2. . Moderate fire behavior with running, backing and creeping. 11,023 acres. 11% contained. 541 personnel. 13 crews, 22 engines. 14 homes, 5 minor structures threatened.20 fires. MILLI FIRE – 9 West of Sisters, OR

Burning along 16 Road (South of).  Started 8/11/2017. Lightning caused. Located in Three Sisters Wilderness and about 1.5 miles SW of Black Crater Lake. Timber. IMT1 (SW Team / OSF Green Team) Estimated containment date is 101/2017. #MilliFire

8/24/2017:   12,457 acres. 32% contained. Moderate fire behavior with short-range spotting, isolated torching and backing.  673 personnel. 12 crews, 28 engines, 3 helos. $7.4 Million CTD.

8/23/2017:  Active fire behavior with torching, crowning and short-range spotting. 12,356 acres. 22% contained. 703 personnel. 13 crews, 13 helos and 28 engines. 2055 homes threatened.  $6.4 Million CTD.

Evacuations orders (Level 3 – GO!) issued for Edgington, Crossroads divisions and isolate structures South of Sisters, oR. Hwy 242 closed from Sisters to Observatory Road. NENA SPRINGS FIRE – 7 air miles NE of Simnasho, OR

On the NE Boundary of Warm Springs Indian Reservation, OR.  Started 8/11/2017. USDA BIA. Grass, timber, dormant brush.  Human caused, under investigation. 10 structures lost. #NenaSpringsFire

8/23/2017:  Active fire behavior with running and torching. 1,643 acres. 8% contained.  110 homes threatened. 279 personnel. 6 crews. 1 helo. 14 engines. Hwy 410 closed. LEVEL 3 evacuations in effect for Union Creek, Pleasant Valley.  LEVEL 1 evacuations for Goose Prairie and Bumping Lake. 9 fires including American and Union Creek Trail as the largest. $1.2 Million CTD.

REACH FIRE  – 25 miles West of Connell, WA

Mid-Columbia National Wildlife Refuge Complex. FWS. Tall grass.  Moderate fire behavior with running, spotting and smoldering. 665 acres. 30% contained. 19 personnel. 4 engines. $100,000 CTD. #ReachFire

REBEL FIRE -13 South of McKenzie Bridge, OR

Started unknown. USDA Forest Service. Started 8/4/2017. Cause unknown.   Includes multiple fires Whitewater Fire, Little Devil FireAvenue FireBox Canyon FireOlalllie Lookout FireSeparation FireRoney Fire and French Fire.   Estimated containment status is 9/30/2017. #RebelFire

SEPARATION FIRE – Substitute Point, OR

Started 8/10/2017. Lightning caused. Timber (Litter and understory). USDA Forest Service. 0 resources.  Formerly called Three Sisters Central Fire.  #SeparationFire

8/22/2017:  300 acres. 0% containment. 0 resources assigned. $1,000 CTD.  Estimated containment is 10/31/2017.

STALEY FIRE – 23 miles South of Oakridge, OR

Willamette NF. Lightning caused. Started 8/10/2017.  Timber and brush. USDA Forest Service.  Type 2 IMT.  #StaleyFire

8/24/2017:  1,077 acres. 16% contained.  Moderate fire behavior with uphill runs, short-range spotting and single-tree torching. 392 personnel. 12 crews, 11 engines. $2.6 Million CTD.
