Winter CA Fire Prompts Evacuations

Near Bishop, California | A wildfire broke out on Sunday afternoon around 1411 hours PST on Pleasant Valley Dam Road and Highway 395, north of Bishop.

Resources | Firefighters from the CAL FIRE – San Bernardino Unit responded and are on-scene.

Size Up | Currently, the fire has scorched 250 acres.  There is unknown containment status at the time of this posting

Evacuations | AT this moment, CAL FIRE states evacuations are in place for the Meadowlark area northeast of Bishop and the Pleasant Valley Campground.

Cause | There is an unknown cause at this moment.

Damage Assessment | There have been no homes reported as damaged or destroyed, nor any injuries to civilians or fire crews as being reported reported.
