YAKIMA, Wash. | A controlled fire escaped its containment and went into nearby brush turning into a wildfire. The fire started on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Fire personnel and resources from nearby Glead Fire Department and other mutual aid agencies responded to the Naches Road area.
The first due engine reported that the fire under control but then stated it had increased to one acre with one structure being threatened and to continue all incoming resources.
Winds were reported coming from the west and the fire burning in medium to light fire fuels.
