CA WILDFIRE | CARTER FIRE | 2

INCIDENT SUMMARY

A 4-Alarm brush is burning off of Austin and Weaver Roads, south of Brawley (Imperial County) in California, that started earlier this afternoon.

COMMAND NAME(S)

With all of the confusing wildfire names, Social Media is reporting this fire as the CARTER FIRE but they are also using WEAVER FIRE and RIVER BOTTOM FIRE.  To make it easier since there appears to be no PIO available, we will just keep it simple and call it the CARTER FIRE.  For all intent and purpose, we will use all three hashtags when posting on our own Social Media channels which are @nwfireblog (Twitter & Facebook) and nwfireblog (Instagram).

CURRENT STATUS

The fire has been reported as 200 acres destroyed with an 8% containment status.

Four air tankers were deployed via Hemet, California.
