Update 1 – June 12, 2022 – 1410 PT
The Sheep Fire is located off of Highway 2 and Sheep Creek Road, just northeast of Wrightwood in San Bernardino County, California. This fire ignited on Saturday, June 11, 2022 and has increased fire behavior this afternoon.
COMMAND
The San Bernardino County FD is now in Unified Command with Angeles National Forest and CAL FIRE BDU.
CURRENT FIRE STATUS —
At the water tower, Branch 1 requested two tankers and one copter to do some drops over hot spots.
Command stated the fire looks good on the heel of the fire, and has released Tankers 70 and 71 back to Ramona airbase.
EVACUATION WARNING in effect for Wrightwood.
