Due to the many wildfires burning in Canada at this time, we will be trying to summarize which wildfires are burning and where, resources and images of the locations as we gain more information on a daily basis from our verified sources.

DONNIE CREEK FIRE

Donnie Creek Fire is burning about 84 miles southeast of Fort Nelson and 98 miles north of Fort St. John. Discovered Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1658 hours PDT. Lightning is suspected cause. Evacuations are in effect. Structure protection is operational. BC Wildfire Services Resources: 253 total personnel including 171 firefighters. 15 copters. 1 IMT. 40 pieces of heavy equipment and 50 structure protection personnel.

TOOGA CREEK FIRE

The Tooga Creek Fire is burning land at Tooga Creek and has an estimated size of 36,295 ha or 89,687 acres already consumed. It was discovered on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 1650 hours PDT. It was deemed to be a human-caused fire. Evacuations are in effect. One Fort Nelson Fire Zone is being used to monitoring the fires for G90288, G90358, G90628 and the G90635 Fires at this time. G90790 FIRE

This wildfire is burning on Little Sisters Mountain that was discovered on June 14, 2023 at 1922 hours PDT. It is about 10 ha or 24.7 acres. The suspected cause is lightning. Dispatch Center: Prince George Fire Centre.

BIG CREEK FIRE (G60666)

The Big Creek Fire is also known as the G60666 wildfire is considered to be out-of-control and is located on the Ominica River, discovered on June 7, 20223 at 1814 hours PDT. It is being monitored by wildfire aviation from above. Heavy equipment is assigned to this incident and is being used to build fire breaks, as well as structure protection group actively protecting communities. The size of the fire is said to be at 13,000 ha or 32,123 acres. Dispatch Center: Prince George Fire Centre.
