SIT REP 1: July 4, 2023, 1440 hours PDT
Incident Summary: A wildfire named the Chris Mountain Fire is burning about six miles NW of Pagosa Springs in the San Juan National Forest in the State of Colorado. The fire was caused by lightning that passed over the area.
Current Status: The fire has burned about 477 acres and there is still a 0% containment status.

Resources: There is approximately 482 total personnel along with 13 crews, 12 engines, three dozers, and seven copters. IC: Matt Spring. Command: Rocky Mtn Area Complex IMT Team 3.
Fire Fuels: Timber and brush.
Fire Behavior: Moderate with flanking, backing, and isolated torchings.
Threatened: Structures.
Fire Weather Alerts: RED FLAG WARNING for gusty winds, high temperatures, and low humidity. Weather conditions may allow any new fire starts to grow rapidly.
Evacuations: In effect.
Closures: Roads, and trails.
Damage Assessment: There have been no reports of structures lost but there has been a total cost-to-date of $3.1 Million for fire suppression and containment efforts reached.
