The PILOT FIRE is a human-caused wildfire that ignited on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 1118 hours MDT and is burning 20 miles east of Wikieup and near the O RO Ranch in the Mohon Mountains, Arizona.

The fire is under the management of the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management with the Incident Commander Darrell Willis, a Type 3 IC at the helm.

Resources include hotshot crews, hand crews, engines, aircraft, and medic teams and represent some fire agencies, AZ State Forestry, and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.

The fire has consumed about 33,834 acres of grass and pinyon-juniper fire fuels, which now has a 5% containment status.

There is a total number of 154 personnel assigned to the incident.
