SIT REP 1: July 14, 2023, Friday, 2355 PT

INCIDENT SUMMARY: A wildfire reported early this morning at 0058 broke out from an unknown cause in the 9400 block of Reche Canyon Road. This is located in the unincorporated area of Moreno Valley (Riverside County).

CURRENT STATUS: At the beginning of the incident, the fire was reported as a five-acre fire with a high rate of spread in flashy fuels.

Currently, the fire has burned through 437 acres and continues to put on a display exhibiting extreme fire behavior and a fast-moving pace as it continues to consume everything in its path.

INCIDENT COOPERATORS: CAL FIRE, SDSU, ALERTCalifornia, and Riverside County FD.

POINTS-OF-INTEREST: The CAL FIRE Agency is in active and full fire suppression efforts fighting three major wildfires at the same time, which include the #RABBITFIRE, #RECHEFIRE, and the #HIGHLANDFIRE. These are all separate incidents that we are covering under their respective individual posts.
