SIT REP 2: @ 1955 PT
The forward progression of this wildfire has been stopped at 1907 hours PT, per Arizona State Forestry Fire Officials with the aid of hotshot crews, engines, water tender, and aviation assets boxing it. On Sunday, Fire Officials their order for Type 2 hand crews, and an engine will arrive tomorrow to finish up the work that needs to be done.
SIT REP 1: July 15, 2023, Saturday, 1450 PT/MDT
A wildfire named the MESA VIEW FIRE is burning east of US-93 at the I-40 junction and south of I-40, ignited from an unknown cause this afternoon. It is currently four acres in size with a 0% containment status.
The Lead Fire Agency: AZ State Forestry states that the fire is moving so fast that it has the potential to impact the nearby highway in the area and threaten KV lines.
Aviation assets are on order: AA, Lead along with SEATs and LATs being requested by the Incident Commander.
