Alberta Wildfire is the official agency responsible for wildfire management in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta announced on October 31, 2023 was official date their wildland fire season ended.

They thanked their firefighters, contractors, and staff who worked tirelessly during their busiest fire season on record.

According to their stats, approximately 2.2 million hectares have burned.
It was definitely a busy and crucial fire season with many firefighters, resources, and equipment responding from around the world to assist our friends in Canada.
