SIT REP 2: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2024, 1830 HOURS PST

INCIDENT SUMMARY
A brush fire ignited from an unknown cause around 1300 hours MST (1200 hours PST) west of the Pine West Housing area and on the eastern border of Pikes National Forest. This prompted an immediate response of two divisions from the U.S. Air Force Academy and Colorado Springs Fire Departments.
CURRENT STATUS
There have been about 150 acres burned.
U.S. Air Force Academy Fire Officials say there are no current threats to structures or infrastructure, however, structure protection is currently in effect for the water treatment and power plants on the campus, along with an evacuation notice issued to those who are residents in Pine Valley and Douglass Valley housing.
CAUSE
Unknown at this time and is currently being investigated.
