Another fire is burning in Merced County in California with this one being called the John Fire which started on Monday, May 14, 2024, at 1325 hours.

This one is also under investigation and a preliminary cause has not been released.

This fire is located on South Bert Crane Road and John Saunders Road, near Atwater. It is said to be the size of 12 acres with a 0% containment status.

The Lead Fire Agency is CAL FIRE – Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit.
