So in an attempt to share wildfire information (wildfires) in Canada, our public information request to share info and wildfire images from the Canadian government’s website/blog has been denied by the Canadian government as all information has been copyrighted by this agency. You must have an “approved” request to share information.

We are saddened and disappointed but the show must go on.

As you all know, we always try to use “verified” sources, which include local, city, county, and federal governments here in the United States. Canada is a whole other world and you’d think they’d want those who have been verified as a “verified” true platform that shares accurate fire news to help get the information out to those who need it.

We are more than just wildfire news, we are about education, evacuation alerts, stats, where wildfires are burning and to avoid the location, etc. We like to give Situation Reports known as Sit Reps when wildfires are burning so people are aware of what is happening, for informational purposes, etc.

We will still be looking at sharing information in Canada as we have been in existence for almost 13 years and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Please note, that we have not made any money from this venture and don’t plan on shortly. Maybe in the very far future to pay for some costs but we have managed to donate our own time and money for this blog. Many of you have helped support us as well.

Thank you to all of the men and women in Canada for what you do day in and night, volunteering, and for those who have helped the Canadian firefighters through many firestorms. You are still considered family and would not have it any other way. Keep up the good fight! I know we will as well.
