INCIDENT SUMMARY
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA – A wildfire named the Corral Fire for its location burning along south Corral Hallow Road is burning near the Lawrence Livermore National Lab Site 300 south of Tracy, says CAL FIRE Officials.

The fire started on June 1, 2024, around 1439 hours PDT and quickly could be seen with extreme fire behavior which is wind-driven and challenging for firefighters.
The cause is under investigation. No preliminary cause has been released.

Today, the fire has burned about 14,168 acres and has a 15% containment status as of 1800 hours this evening.
The fire was said to have jumped I-580 a minimum of two times today.
FIRE RESOURCES
The Lead Agency is CAL FIRE’s Santa Clara Unit. There is currently a total of 475 fire personnel staffing 45 engines, 16 dozers, and 15 water tenders alongside 14 crews and 40 other assigned including an overhead team and aviation assets.

The fire has burned about 14,168 acres and has a 50% containment status. The cause is under investigation.
There are unknown reports of any injuries to civilians, and firefighters or damages/losses to property at the time of this update.
