INCIDENT SUMMARY. The Darlene 3 Fire is located two (2) miles southeast of La Pine Oregon, which ignited on June 25th from an undetermined cause.

CURRENT STATUS. The fire has burned through about 3,889 acres of timber and had an increase within the last 24 hours of 1,269 acres.

At this time, there is a 42% containment status, which is great news to hear. However, fire behavior continues to be active with wind-driven runs, isolated torching, and short-range spotting.

Due to Fire conditions improving and the threats to area structures having lessened, the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office has released some of their OSFM structural task forces which have been returned back in service in their respective fire districts.

RESOURCES. There is a total of 410 personnel along with seven (7) crews, 43 engines, and five (5) copters. There was an increase in personnel within the last 24-hour operational period of 75 people.

COST-TO-DATE. The CTD has reached 2.4 Million Dollars.
