INCIDENT SUMMARY. The Grapefruit Complex is made up of four (4) fires located in the Upper Yukon Zone on DNR lands 30 miles northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska. This included Globe, Iver, Noodor, and Slate fires.

FIRE BEHAVIOR. The fire behavior was observed as active with group torching, running, and flanking.

RESOURCES. There are a total of 94 personnel along with two (2) crews and three (3) engines.

CURRENT STATUS. The fire has burned through 40,849 acres of timber and hardwood litter. Structures are currently under threat.

CONTAINMENT STATUS. Currently, crews have a sustained 0% containment status and Fire Officials are saying they are not expecting a full containment until October 30, 2024.

COST-TO-DATE. The total cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts has reached $731,000.
